Travel Knowledge

When we divide the amount of money we need to raise for the trip ($15,000) by the miles we need to travel (about 3000 miles one way) that comes out to be about $5 per mile. Using this calculation, with the donations we have raised we can make it to Mayberry, North Carolina right now. But please don't leave us stranded with Barney Fife!

  2. Haha yea it really does. The best part was that me and Dad were trying to figure it out kinda late at night (or it seemed late at night) and we were having so much difficulty with the math. It was simple division and we were coming out with weird numbers. Haha we must have done the same calculations 10 times before we figured out what we were doing wrong, lol.
    Anywyas thanks for commenting Kasey!

  3. Hey Todd,

I loved hearing about your first trips back when you first started in 2004. Sleeping on hammocks in the Amazon sounds like quite the adventure. My fiance and I would like to donate to help you on your way---is there a way to donate online?

Thanks and hope all is well!

  4. Wow...I'm thinking that maybe Paige and Dad were suddenly afflicted with what I face everyday math anxiety. Oh well, at least they figured it out and don't have to face it everyday.

  5. David and anyone else who might be interested in donating online, currently that option is not available, however if you would like to donate by using a credit card you can call (540)886-0771 and ask for either Denny Grady or Crystal Knittle.
